Nigerian British MP Chuka Umunna Supports Jags Foundation

Fast rising Streatham Labour MP, Chuka Umunna has recently offered his support to Jags Foundation, an ambitious charity aimed at teaching kids how to get money, power and respect without resorting to crime.
Jags Foundation is created by black British Mum, Tracy Ford, in memory of her late son James Andre Godrey Smartt-Ford, who was gunned down in front of witnesses at a public rink, on February 3, 2007, at the age of 17.

However, unlike many charities borne out of tragedy, the focus of Jags Foundation will be the teaching of financial literacy and money management.
According to Tracy:
"Often the propensity towards crime is born out of a need for respect, power and money. Jags’s will simply show how these needs can be met through a different path".
MP Chuka Umunna is expected at the launch which will take place on November 20, with a fundraising ball at the Park Plaza Hotel, in Victoria.
Chuka Umunna made news back home in Nigeria in May 2010, when he was elected as MP for Streatham, in the UK. A lawyer by profession, he is also a leading member of the centre-left pressure group, Compass, a Treasury select committee member, and an acknowledged "potential future leader" of the UK Labour Party.
